CECE - Endovascular Surgery Specializing Course

AIM

The Endovascular Surgery Specializing Course was introduced by Dr Armando de Carvalho Lobato in 2002, as a way to offer the first theoric- practical training option in this área in Brazil. This course aimed at extending the skills of brazilian vascular surgeons and as a consequence to allow them to offer their patients the newest therapeutic options available in the first world countries.

Location and duration

This course is undertaken at The Santa Catarina Hospital, São Paulo from Thursday to Sunday (once a month), and extends for a full year, starting on April and comprising 408hs.

Who Should Register

This course is directed to Vascular Surgeons Who would like to improve their surgical capabilities and extend the limits of their practice.

Scientific Program

The scientific program combines practical and theoric classes, hands-on workshop, participation in the endovascular procedures (Cat Lab and Endovascular Suite)and training in an experimental lab unit.

Technical tips, Therapeutic options, Procedures Indications as well as complications and results, Diagnostic methods and interpretation, vascular Access , pre and post-operatory follow-up, features and limitations of all available endovascular devices are some of the topics discussed during the course.

Registration

All aplicants must undergo a selection process including CV review with special regards to academic activities, medical practice, current Professional activities and future perspectives regarding endovascular surgery.

Application is open from December to March.

b. Two presentation letters from renowned endovascular surgeons
c. Sponsorship confirmation or a statement acknowledging who is going to take care of the course fees
